As for most RPGs, the most crucial decision of your time with the game comes at the very beginning: in which class do you play? OUTRIDERS offers four playable classes: Trickster, Pyromancer, Devastator and Technomancer, each with his own skill and styles of play. Fortunately for us, the game also offers players six character locations, which means that you can have one of each class and still have room for more! You will definitely want to try each of them, but how do you decide what class is the best option for you to start your trip on Enoch? Well, look no further because we break down the basic principles of each class and offer some helpful tips on what's best for your game style.
Trickster
Class archetype: VOISOU
Powers: Handling time and space
Ideal range: Close
Healing mechanic: Short-range killings regenerate health and generate temporary shields.
Recommended weapons: Fighter rifle, assault rifle, revolver
The trickster consists in entering and getting out of the battle at any time. Specialized in the personal rapprochement with the inhabitants of Enoch, this class is ideal for players who like to be in the heart of chaos and who like to move quickly on the ground. We must be able to react in the blink of an eye to stay alive and every moment of combat will be tense but is worth it. The time slice of the trickster inflicts massive damage in a wide and wide arc and hunt the prey will teleport you directly behind an enemy to get the drop on him. If you are not quick to react, the trickster will very probably fall. This is the only class to automatically obtain shields that help counter its light squishiness in combat. Be aggressive and stay on your guard to survive. If you like frantic gameplay like an old-fashioned hack and slash, this course is for you.
The pyromancer
Class archetype: MAGE / ROULETTE
Powers: Summon Fire and Ashes
Ideal range: Middle
Healing mechanic: Any target marked burning or ash that is killed by any means, including other players
Recommended weapons: Storm rifle, sniper rifle, smg
Pyromancer is an immediate attraction for all those who love the idea of fire to enemies, with many options for burning carnage. The powers of the pyromancer are the best to deal with the crowds of enemies and AOE effects, so the close combat is not always the best option. Remote moderate, the pyromancer can trigger explosive flames chain reactions with a thermal bomb, ignite a unleashed perforo horde with a heat wave and stay easily recharged in the health basin by ensuring everyone around the 'They are on fire. The pyromancer is a slightly more cautious class than the trickster, but it is versatile enough to easily have a short-range construction, especially with its melee attacks capable of inflicting burns and to ensure that healing effect. It is a class for the most tactically inclined and is well adapted to a leadership role in a squad by observing the field and leading traffic. If you are more inclined to a gameplay like Gears of War, the pyromancer could be for you.
The devastating
Class archetype: Tank
Powers: Control of gravity and earth
Ideal range: Close
Healing mechanic: Short-range kill Generates Health
Recommended weapons: Fighter rifle, assault rifle, LMG
The organic hammer of the Outriders, the Devastator is perhaps a demolition team composed of one man, but it is much more versatile than you think. Not only does it offer high defense and HP compared to its brothers, but it is also incredibly viable as a support class. While skills such as Gravity Leap and Empal will decimate the enemy in no time, Reflect Bullets allows you to stop all incoming balls and returning them directly to the bastards who slaughtered them. This class is particularly talented to be the focal point of the enemy and hold the shot while your teammates are launching in the killing. It's brutal and effective in what it does, but it's better to be ready to be invaded. Devastator is easily the simplest class for a new player who wants to master the game mechanisms while offering options for nuanced and complex constructions. If you find that aggressive games and fueled by rabies like the original Trilogy of God of War are your trick, I highly recommend the Devastator.
Technoganism
Class archetype: Summoner / Engineer
Powers: Summon high-caliber technological weapons
Ideal range: LONG
Healing mechanic: Health regenerates by inflicting damage with skills or weapons
Recommended weapons: Precision rifle, assault rifle, LMG
Although technology is virtually destroyed, the technoganism has been affected a little differently by the anomaly. This class is able to ward off unique weapons of high power from the remains left around ENOch and to use them with a devastating effect. Although he has the most indulgent healing mechanism of the four classes, the technoganism is still far the most sequis of classes. Outriders tells players to be aggressive and it's the class where it counts the most. Fortunately, Technomancer is somehow an army of a single man, able to deploy a variety of turrets to attract the fire of the enemy, launch scrapnel grenades and deploy a missile turret that delivers an intense stolen explosions called Launcher bread. Technomanian's basic skills set primarily at remote death with an accent on the precision rifle. With the good focus, it can easily be built for mid-range, but unless you intend to trust Cold Snap, it is best to keep your distances with it. If you are a big fan of Mass Effect, the diversity and tactical applications of Technomancer could be perfect for you.
