In parallel with the Saga the Dark Pictures, the Supermassive Games British studio announces a new cinematographic horror game, the quarry. Edited at 2K Games, the game is expected for June 10, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
The story takes place while the night falls on the Hackett's Quarry camp. Young monitors prepare a party to mark their last day at the camp. But things will quickly turn with the appearance of individuals covered with blood and a much more sinister thing yet. The evening where reigned jokes and flirts will turn into a real nightmare night for our new teenagers.
The game will incur in turn the nine monitors of the camp in a cinematographic narrative where each of your decisions will impact the story that focuses on one of the multiple possible branches. The survival of the characters will therefore depend entirely on your actions.
If you can choose to scare you alone on your sofa, it will also be possible to gather up to 7 friends to lend you hand. Online, your guests will be able to vote to make the most critical decisions and shape your story. Locally, each may take control of a monitor or instructor and will take full part in this terror session.
The game promises an impressive cinematographic experience thanks to the advanced facial capture and the actor game of a few well-known faces. Note the presence, among others, of Justice Smith (Jurassic World and Detective Pikachu), from David Arquette (Scream), of Lin Shaye (insidious) or Lance Henriksen (ALIns) in the cast. A cinema mode will also transform The Quarry into a true panting thriller to look comfortably installed in your living room with a little popcorn.
