A good two and a half years after the deadly aircraft accident by professional footballer Emiliano Sala, the organizer of the flight was found guilty.
The 67-year-old businessman is responsible for having endangered the safety of the machine, decided a jury in Cardiff.
The 28-year-old sala should switch to the Welsh Club Cardiff City in one million transfer from the French Club FC Nantes. On the flight between the two cities, the single-engine business plane of type Piper Malibu crashed on January 21, 2019 near the island of Guernsey in the English Channel. The Argentine Sala and the 59-year-old pilot David Ibbotson died.
The HobbyPilot had no valid license for commercial flights. He had also not completed training hours for night flights, was probably affected at the time of crash of a carbon monoxide poisoning and traveling too fast. Only after almost two-week search was the aircraft discovered on the seabed.
The 67-year-old entrepreneur had arranged the flight together with an agent, but then could not fly himself because he was with his wife in Paris. Instead, he asked IBBotson to take the flight, which was regularly on his behalf. The verdict should be announced on 12 November.
