Forza Horizon 5 played and November can not come early

That Forza Horizon 5 becomes a giant flop, probably no one is seriously feared. For this, the previous quality of the Open World racing games from Playground Games was far too high and the first graphically opulent trailer to the new part clearly too promising.

In recent days we were able to pure several hours in a preview version of Forza Horizon 5 and can confirm the previous positive first impression. More, after the first gameplay, we can barely expect that the release month of November will finally come.

We were able to play at the Xbox Series X: In our Preview version, the complete start of Forza Horizon 5 was playable, so the first events / races and side activities to the first larger expedition of the game. Content-technical gave this about a small hour Gameplay, in addition, we could already explore the entire map freely.

The preview version already shows: As its predecessors Playground with Forza Horizon 5 dares no great experiments, but relies on the well-tried concept: as a car music festival participant participate in races and events and just have a good time.

The most striking innovation is certainly the setting. This time it goes to Mexico, which according to our first gameplay impressions has the potential to dissolve Australia from the third part as a varied game world of the series so far.

Because variation is available here. Inviting sandy beaches in the east of the map, dense jungle in the south, as well as the leaking city of Guanajuato with its numerous colored house facades and the impressive mountain La Gran Caldera, where it takes several minutes to drive it to the top.

They are just a few of the sights on the map we have discovered in the first hours. There are several more interesting hotspots such as an abandoned airport in the jungle or a huge stadium - to drive around alone and explore the landscape again makes a hidden fun again.

For the events, Forza Horizon 5 seems to be more freedom and choices than the predecessor games. Although at the beginning of the game, there are some events that we have to complete, including about a so-called scene bar. And here, the staging missiles are first ignited, because it goes against an airplane and its mobile cargo. For example, in the middle of the race, two motorcycles fall out of the loading and then with us through the narrow streets of Guanajuato, before one of the two jumps out shortly before the destination on an abyss and by wingsuit (!) With us through the goal Ballert - class!

Thereafter, the festival line makes us free hand, whether we participate in one of the numerous races on the map or other tasks such as lightning zones, where we need to achieve as high average speeds as possible in a delimited area, the better, the better) or want to do more.

Some of them are started separately in the game world, others can be done almost in passing, you already know that from the horizon games. The one-sacked experience points allow us to continue in place on the one hand and unlock new vehicles or bonuses, on the other hand, they also drive the (again quite rudimentary story). But honestly, does someone forza horizon play because of the story?

Nice: Some tasks tell small stories, for example if we go to a nature photographer at the clearing of motifs in a sandstorm at hand, which will bring us closer to the photo mode of the game or to help another lady, the missing To find VW Beetle of her grandfather.

Everything fits wonderfully for the basically very relaxed atmosphere of the game. In general, Forza Horizon 5 again works again after the motto Everything can, nothing has to. Who simply wants to gondolate through the area, can do that. However, we would like to distract ourselves from the numerous small and large tasks, which gave us an overwhelm on the card to be completed. And that takes once more for an incredible so-called á la Oh, a task is still.

Custom feeling with new accents

The fantastic playability - the vehicles feel excellent and different depending on the model - then also the really big innovations, because this lets Forza Horizon 5 in the first gameplay hour at most guessing.

This is how our character can now be adapted a bit more extensive - for example with prostheses - there is a design ( paths, the point-to-point races are about various slaughter trails) and of course the enormously impressive sandstorms that look not only class But, but above all by the sound effects act properly threatening if we pass through them.

However, the series makes a huge step, at least we reject ourselves from the window according to our first impressions. Because technically uses Forza Horizon 5 definitely a new milestone and it is sometimes really incredibly, how good this game looks like.

The jungle is about to the smallest detail, individual loop plants hang from the trees, bird swarms flutter excited in the sky, the sun sparkles on the blank polished bodyworks and ever shines the complete game world in an almost already photorealistic brilliance, which in particular all with one corresponding 4k-tells to drool should bring.

Incidentally, Series X owners can choose between a quality (4K, 30 fps) and performance (4K, 60 fps, but without raytracing in forzavista mode) setting. In addition, the clearly sattered engine sounds of the vehicles - in its predecessor still a criticism - as well as an exquisite music selection, which opposes us from several radio stations. No really, this is certainly not a flop. But on the contrary.
