After DICE has held months in the dark, DICE finally opened the lid of the Battlefield 2042 danger zone. In front of today s revelation, we only knew that it is not a Battle Royale and that he resembles Escape from Tarkov.
We now know that both points are exactly right. Hazard Zone will be a high-stakes mode in which tactics and strategy play as much role as shooting. While all-out warfare can show a large number of players on PCs and consoles of the new generation, Hazard Zone becomes a lot of intimate - with 32 players distributed on eight squads. Those of PS4 and Xbox One can continue to attend the action except that the lobby size is limited to 24 players (six squads). Even if Ki opponents will be in the game, Hazard Zone is not the name of the game to achieve kills, and player encounters are far from being as common as in all-out warfare.
So what is the goal? Well, in a match in Hazard Zone, players must choose a unique Battlefield 2042 specialist to chase a range of shot satellites scattered over one of Battlefield 2042 s seven cards. These satellites are data drives, and the overall goal is to retrieve them and then escape the card by extracting them to one of two places. Satellites will also appear in the middle of the game and contain several Data Drives.
Data skills are important as they can be sold at the end of each game for a danger zone-specific currency called Dark Market Credits. This Dark Market Credits can then be used to buy weapons, gadgets and tactical upgrades (of which the latter are only available in Hazard Zone). You could be economical and try to get some data drives with a minimal, cheap PC player 24, or you could destroy everything on a stacked PC player 24 to improve your chances and hope that you get enough data skills to get the cost cover up.
It will not be easy to get these data drives. The approximate storage locations of the data drives are displayed in a briefing before the game and can be tracked in the game using a unique gadget called Intel Scanner. This means that other teams could be in the same place as they could lead to a shootout with other players or the occupation forces that guard every satellite. Although this has not been expressly confirmed, it is quite a security about KI-controlled enemies.
However, to get the data drives is only half the rent. To keep these data drives, you must extract it from the danger zone. There are only two timed windows for extraction - one in the middle of a game and one end. In each window, only one team can extract, which means that a maximum of two teams can rely on a game of Hazard Zone with their data drives alive.
What about the others? Well, if you either kill or not extract in combat, you lose all the data drives you found in this game. This means that the Dark Matter credits that they have invested before the game were free of charge. Now you know why we have said that this is a mode with high missions. However, it is worth noting that you still receive a kind of reward if it only succeeds in extracting a member of your squad.
We have already mentioned that there are things that are called tactical upgrades and represent a danger zone-specific addition to their equipment. These provide different buffs or bonuses, such as the reinforcing uplink with which you can revive a depressed player, and 15 are available. Two basic tactical upgrades are free, but the other 13 must be bought in front of a match with Dark Matter credits.
